BTA (1,2,3-benzotriazole) is a white needle-shaped crystals. It can be processed into large flakes, small granules, powder. It is bitter, odorless, boiling point 204℃ (15 mmHg), soluble in alcohol, benzene, toluene, chloroform and dimethylformamide, slightly soluble in water
TTA (Tolyltriazole) is a pure product consisting of white granules, 4-methylbenzotriazole and 5-methylbenzotriazole. It has melting point from 80℃ to 86℃, soluble in alcohol, benzene, toluene, chloroform and in an aqueous alkali solution. Practically insoluble in water

It is used as an anticorrosive agent, antifreeze, antioxidant (including in lubricating, hydraulic, transformer oils and brake fluids), emulsifier, water stabilizer, additives to high-molecular materials (polyester and polyetheramide). It provides resistance to ultraviolet and antistatic electricity, a means against fogging of photographs, flotation of copper mines, slowing down metal corrosion, etc.
It is mainly used as an inhibitor of corrosion of metals (such as silver, copper, zinc, lead, nickel, copper, etc.), a corrosion inhibitor for MWF. It is also used as an additive to lubricants, an antifreeze component. In addition, it can be a sterilizing agent in the pipeline system for collectors and has a very good anticorrosion effect on the closed-cycle water cooling system.
